WE GOT MARRIED!

On Saturday, September 16th, we tied the knot at the Valentine Museum in Downtown Richmond in front of about a hundred friends and family. The whole day was dream-like. Since then, we have both been pining to be back in that moonlit courtyard continuing conversations with our favorite people (and maybe actually getting a chance to eat that food that everyone raved about).

In retrospect, the months of planning, craft projects, haggling with vendors, and stress-headaches was easily worth the memories that we gathered up during this phenomenal weekend. We both poured our hearts into this day and got more than we expected in return. From start to finish, it was a real love revival. And we sure need more of that around here.

Click on "Photo albums" to your left for tons of great pictures from the wedding. You can order prints from the site if you like. If you really like the photos, our photographer, Kendall from Kromatic Photography is available for hire (804.833.0525 or

kromaticphoto@hotmail.com). We think he did a fantastic job.

Speaking of fantastic, our friends sure can burn up the dance-floor. I think we did a great job inviting people who really know how to bring the party. On the other hand, some people have told us that our DJs had the magic touch, spinning contageous vinyl tracks from way back and current hits that we can't get enough of. If you want those DJs for your event, contact Mellow Mike (at 804-651-5466 or murphymadness@gmail.com). Mike can also be heard on 97.3 WRIR.org in Richmond on Sundays from 1-3 and our photographer Kendall produces a show at noon on Tuesdays on the same community radio station. We are grateful to them for their help and they are worthy of your support.

Also, this site is where you can find the story of how we

met, the pug-tastic proposal, pictures from our pre-married lives, and since so many of you asked, our amazon.com and target.com wish-lists are full of stuff we'd love to have, and of course some charity suggestions as well.

In November, we'll head to Veracruz, Mexico to visit my brother David and his wife Karina (and toddlers Dylan and Andrew) while soaking up some sun and culture. Let us know if you've got any recommendations for places to go or things to do down south.

Thanks to both sets of parents, Carol, Bill, Terry and Hal for convening a weekend full of fun and friends. Thanks to Art, Kyong, Adam, and Corbin for being at our side throughout the experience. Thanks to everyone who came from so far. We hope you enjoyed it half as much as we did. And thanks to everyone for wishing us well and adding your spirit to fire that forged this union.

pps: More kudos to folks that made the event turn out so well. Our florist was awesome and reasonable. Beth at Lavender Fields Farm is good people with good tastes and a fun farm. The venue also worked out really well. The Valentine History Center was beautiful and educational. And, since they count for 2/3 of the wedding budget even though we provided the alcohol, we were really impressed with the quality of the catering at A Sharper Palate from the ginger tofu sauce with the veggie spring roles down to the very rich-tasting and pretty cake. Only the best for our party-goers. Nonetheless, we proudly got a great bargain on wine/beer at Trader Joe's in

Fairfax. And... Jon-Claude video-taped the whole event and will soon give us a DVD. For all your film needs highgravitymedia@yahoo.com
